Moses A. Uyang is a Nigerian who belongs to the world. Through the years, he has given himself to development/humanitarian courses. He has done the latter in Nigeria, outside Nigeria, as well as virtually. As a creative writer and a humanitarian, his work promotes human rights, campaign against Female Genital Mutilation and Child Marriage, as well as promotes peace and development in Africa. He had his university studies in Nairobi, Kenya.
His first literary piece, The Trek, was published in 2016 and it is currently in use in one of the Universities in Nigeria. He is a Project Associate and Editor of Project 60@60, a project designed to promote the unity and development of Nigeria. He co-edited the book - 'The Nation Builders at 60: A Compendium of 60 Nation Builders at 60', published in (2020).
Moses speaks and understands the French language and has a DELF B1 certificate issued by the Republic of France International Centre for Pedagogical Studies. He also had weeks of French emersion in Republic of Benin, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Togo and Ivory Coast. He undertook an online training on policy making and obtained a Certificate of Achievement from the British Council and the Møller Institute, Churchill College, University of Cambridge.
At the June 2021 Day of the African Child celebration Moses was invited by the African Union Youth Division in collaboration with UNICEF as a panelist on the youth webinar titled: “The role of youth in using creative arts to change the cultural traditions that perpetuate harmful practices”.
In April 2021, Moses was a participant at the 2021 virtual United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum – A Decade of Action: Building a Resilient Recovery from the COVID-19 Pandemic. He made contributions together with about 19,000 young persons around the globe in search for a better world. Moses also had the chance to give suggestions on ways to building a sustainable Africa by 2030.
Also, in March 2021, he participated and made contributions at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) Africa Summit.
During the African Union-UNICEF campaign against child marriage in November 2020, he participated and made valuable contributions in a two-week intensive training and online campaign against child marriage in Africa.
He was a contributor at the EU-African Union Peace Facility Workshop: The Right to Peace in the West African States held in Abuja (Nigeria) in March 2019.
In November 2019, Moses was invited for a Peace Conference in Nairobi Kenya where he made a presentation on his work on peace building between Christians and Muslims in three northern states of Nigeria.
